During this one-day tour you will experience the city life of Old Dhaka. You will visit the Sadargath (water front), Pink Palace, Shakari Bazar (Hindu Street), Dakeswari Temple, and the Red Fort. We then drive 26km to the Old Capital of Bengal, called Sonargaon. (The name means ‘Golden Village’). This is where you can see a few dozen ageing Rajbari, built by Hindu zamindars and business men about two centuries ago. Historically this city existed in the 3rd century passing through Hinduism, Buddhism, and then Islam by the Sultans, called Mughal. For anyone who likes to dig in history & archaeology.
